The festival is fully enclosed inside the park boundaries between Lincoln Way to the south, Fulton Street to the north, 25th Avenue to the east, and 36th Avenue to the west — and that single geographic fact makes Outside Lands the most transportation-dependent major U.S. festival, because almost every San Francisco hotel cluster sits two-to-six miles east of the park across either the famously congested Geary corridor, the Market Street and Van Ness diagonal, the busy Lincoln Way south-park route, or the Fulton Street north-park route.
